physical therapy physiotherapy

Our Physiotherapists support individuals by conducting physiotherapy mobility assessment, or movement analysis. It is a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s ability to move and perform daily activities, focusing on aspects like range of motion, balance, strength, and gait.

Pressure care and positioning physiotherapy involve the assessment of individuals’ skin and mobility to determine their risk of pressure injuries, then developing a personalised plan to prevent them through repositioning, manual handling, appropriate equipment like specialised cushions, and exercises to maintain muscle function and joint alignment.

Our Physiotherapists develop personalised treatment plan that uses exercises mimicking everyday movements, like lifting, carrying, and twisting, to improve overall strength, balance, and coordination

Our Physiotherapists assess an individual’s functional needs, environment, and goals to assess for and prescribe appropriate Assistive Technology (AT) by identifying barriers, recommending suitable devices through trials, and completing necessary documentation for funding or purchasing. The process involves assessing physical capabilities, cognitive skills, and the home environment, followed by a period of trialling equipment, and finally prescribing the device with supporting clinical documentation.

Our Physiotherapists meet with individuals at a heated pool to aid rehabilitation and improve physical function by leveraging the properties of water.

For individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or spinal cord injuries, our Physiotherapists can help with neurological rehabilitation. This is a specialised branch of physical therapy that focuses on assessing and treating movement impairments resulting from damage to the brain, spinal cord, or nerves.

Our Physiotherapists support employment and education by treating injuries and illnesses that impede physical function, helping individuals manage pain and regain mobility through exercise, manual therapy, and tailored treatment programs. They also provide injury prevention, health education, and functional training to restore and maintain skills needed for work and learning. This support allows people to safely return to or participate in their education and employment, ultimately improving their quality of life.
